Yellow Peppers – Watercolor
Western Art Directors Club Miniatures show and auction, 1999
(another version sold)
The 1999 Western Art Directors Club (WADC) Miniatures Show featured small-scale, custom-designed works from a highly diverse roster of Bay Area graphic designers, illustrators, fine artists, and commercial agency teams. Because the WADC was a regional professional organization rather than a fine-art gallery, the event brought together prominent advertising art directors alongside legendary local illustrators.
During the late 1990s, the WADC was highly active in linking California's commercial design talent with fine art traditions. The 1999 miniature collection stood out for its blend of traditional Western motifs, modern graphic design layouts, and experimental mixed media.
