Jana has been drawing and painting for as long as she can remember. Born in Washington State in 1963, she has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1974.
Jana has a B.S. in Graphic Design with an illustration concentration from San Jose State University. Over the years she has also studied traditional illustration at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and taken various watercolor workshops with the California Watercolor Association.
After several years as a production artist/graphic designer/illustrator, Jana is now focusing mainly on painting, specifically watercolor. She lives in Pleasant Hill, California with her husband, daughter (when she on breaks from Vassar College), and two spoiled dogs.
